A new report has an update on WWE’s plans for their library after their deal with Peacock expires. It was reported earlier this month that some WWE library content is showing an expiration date of December 31st. A later report noted that the library as a whole would leave Peacock at the end of the year. A new report by Fightful Select has information from several sources within the company as to what’s next.

While nothing is confirmed and WWE has not given an overt indication of plans, sources expect WWE to continue rolling the content out to YouTube. The content is likely to be released on the Vault channels. It’s not a matter of anything changing particularly. Rather, it’s just possible that more content could be coming to those channels.

WWE has a couple of Vault channels including the WWE Vault and WCW. The company has been happy with the performance of the Vaults and likely have a favorable deal with Google due to their large footprint on the platform. It is not expected that the entire library will be released at once. The Vault is viewed as a a way to cultivate fans, and the company has been happy with the financial return there.

It was also noted that the library isn’t enough of a driver for subscribers in and of itself and not likely to get a big rights deal. One source said that if they get a good offer for the library, they can reserve the right to take it with the current method.
