Madison Rayne has revealed that her in-ring career has come to an end, making the announcement on ROH On HonorClub. Rayne competed with Deonna Purrazzo on Thursday night’s show, taking a loss to Billie Starkz and Diamante.

Later in the show, Rayna and Purrazzo appeared in a backstage segment. Rayne said that the match was “very emotional” and that the business has given her so much, but it was “the end of an era” for her.

She said she knew it was coming and that when she lost her father earlier in the year, she lost a piece of herself. She said she’s found herself as a coach. She praised Purrazzo as her tag partner and best friend, saying it was the perfect way to end a 20-year ride.

Madison Rayne is a former five-time TNA Women’s Knockout Champion and three-time TNA Women’s Knockout Tag Team Champion. Her in-ring career began in 2005. Since that time, she’s had runs with SHIMMER, TNA, ROH, and AEW, and was part of the Mae Young Classic for WWE in 2018.
