Hello folx! We are at the Asallen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. And we are here for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV! We’ve got an interesting card tonight, as the biggest names on the card are Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, and Penta. This almost feels like an old In Your House PPV, a low-level card that gives talent who aren’t in the main event a chance to shine. And honestly, that isn’t a bad thing. I don’t know how NBC/Peacock will feel about it, but I think it’s a cool way to spotlight the feuds that won’t make it on Clash in Italy.

Tonight we have three championships on the line. First, we have The Irresistible Forces of Nia Jax and Lash Legend, looking to win back the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from Brie Belle & Paige! The Street Profits look to win the WWE World Tag Team Championships and humiliate the Vision’s Logan Paul and Austin Theory! Jade Cargill is out for revenge on Rhea Ripley. She will team up with B-Fab and Michin to take on Ripley, Charlotte, and Alexa Bliss!

Sol Ruca is looking to make a name for herself, as she takes on Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship! And in our main event, All Ego Ethan Page is looking for his first main roster championship, as he takes on WWE Intercontinental Champion, Penta!

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend) vs. Brie Belle & Paige

Brie Bella & Paige won the Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania. And while The Irresistible Forces walked into WrestleMania as champions, they didn’t factor into the fall. That only warrants their rematch here.

A rematch that probably could have been on Backlash. They could have shifted the Danhausen vs Miz & Kit Wilson stuff to tonight instead. But here we are. I don’t expect this to be a good match. Brie has never been a good wrestler, and she hasn’t gotten any better.

Paige, like AJ Lee, has suffered from being in there with the current talent. It’s shown that while she was way above a lot of the Divas, she isn’t on the same level of talent we have today.

On the other side, we have Nia Jax, who has improved with her recent weight loss. But still isn’t capable of carrying someone. And a still green Lash Legend. So, while this won’t be the worst match ever, it will be the weakest match of the night.

I think Bella and Paige keep the titles, and hopefully, we can get a team like Judgement Day or Bayley and Lyra to win it off them soon.

Winner and still WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Brie Bella & Paige

WWE World Tag Team Championships
The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs. The Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory)

I love seeing the Street Profits back on TV. They are a breath of fresh air, and I’m hoping for a win tonight. But I don’t think we are going to see it happen. I think we are getting one of two things. 1. Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins get involved and cost The Street Profits the titles. Either as a DQ win or a distraction loss. Which I could see leading to the teased turn by Ford. Or 2. We get one of my least favorite tropes: the tag partner turns in the middle of a match. Because why would you turn on your partner and cost yourself a championship?

Either way, I think Ford will be turning soon and joining the Vision. He deserves that breakout moment, and it’s been a long time coming. Dawkins has stepped up his game and should do well as a midcard guy after his feud with Ford is done. Ford still can become a main event singles star, and this will be the start of that.

The question is, which way do they go? Either way leads to the same result. But I’m thinking we get option one tonight. And it will lead to the distraction finish. Then Ford can continue to pull away from Dawkins, as he blames Rollins for the loss.

Winner and still WWE World Tag Team Champions: The Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory)

Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab

Rhea Ripley beat Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. Cargill and her lackeys are looking for some revenge tonight, but I don’t think they are getting it.

Ripley, Flair, and Bliss are the biggest names on SmackDown, and with Jacy Jane and Blake Monroe most likely to be Ripley’s next challengers, I don’t think they are going to lose. Cargill can recover from the loss and honestly needs to move down the card to hopefully improve her in-ring skills. She could work in the United States division while B-Fab and Michin work in the Tag Team Division.

With Ripley, Flair, and Bliss in there, I don’t expect this to be a bad match. Michin is also more than capable of holding her own, and Cargill has shown she can be carried to a good match. So, while this won’t be match of the night, it won’t be anything offensive either.

Winners: Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss

Sol Ruca vs Becky Lynch

Sol Ruca already gave the main roster a taste of what she was capable of. Her match with Bayley in December and her showing in the Rumble were both star-making appearances. But tonight will be her real coming-out moment.

Becky Lynch is great in the role of the bitter veteran, and I expect her to go all out to put Ruca over. Much like she did for Lyra last year, and this will work in much the same way. I expect a Ruca win here, and she gets a shot at the title at Clash of Champions.

Ruca is a great person to really build the Intercontinental Championship around. While it’s spent most of 2025 with Becky Lynch. I think she has done all she can with it. She can move on and maybe start working with Stephanie Vaquer and Liv Morgan.

Meanwhile, Ruca can carry the division and build it around Lyra, Nattie, and maybe someone like Tatum Paxley. I also expect this to be in contention for Match of the Night.

Winner and new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion: Sol Ruca.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Ethan Page vs. Penta

Page has quickly acclimated to the main roster. The man just oozes what it takes to be a star in wrestling. He plays the smug and arrogant douche so well. I loved his sit-down promo with Michael Cole on Raw. Michael Cole played that whole thing perfectly, as did Page.

And while I think it’s only a matter of time before Page becomes champion. It won’t be tonight. I think we will see his ego get the best of him tonight. He will showboat a bit too much, allowing Penta to hit the Mexican Destroyer or Penta Driver.

Based on his work with El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., I think Page and Penta will put on the Match of the Night. Page is great at providing a solid ground to fly off of, and his style allows him to pull out all the dirty tricks to try and beat Penta.

And again, while he isn’t winning tonight. I can see a multi-man match coming soon, where Page will be able to steal a win and the title. But tonight, it’s all about Penta.

Winner and still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Penta
