Tony Khan Says Ronda Rousey Is Welcome Back in AEW ‘Anytime She Wants’

Ronda Rousey recently made her long-awaited MMA return, fighting women’s MMA pioneer Gina Carano, live on Netflix. AEW boss Tony Khan has worked with Rousey on a couple of occasions, as she appeared at AEW Revolution, and she worked a match with her longtime friend, Marina Shafir, in ROH.

During this week’s AEW Double or Nothing media call, Tony Khan spoke about possibly working with Rousey again. Speaking on Rousey, he stated (via F4WOnline.com), “I’ve enjoyed working with her in Ring of Honor and having her at AEW Revolution. Anytime she wants to come back to AEW, she’s welcome.”

Khan continued, “I would love to have her anytime when she’s available to fight in AEW. She’s one of the great names in combat sports and someone who is a great presence anytime she is here in AEW.”

It’s unknown if Rousey is looking to get back in the wrestling ring. After her bout with Carano, Rousey said she was done fighting in MMA. Her last pro wrestling match was an episode of ROH on HonorCub TV, where she successfully teamed with Shafir against Athena and Billie Starkz. Rousey was involved in a post-match confrontation at AEW Revolution in March, coming face-to-face with Toni Storm after Storm defeated Shafir.
