Naraku Becomes #1 Contender To NXT Championship On WWE NXT

Naraku has a date with Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Championship, winning a #1 contenders match on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. Tuesday night’s show saw the former EVIL battle Mason Rook in a match to determine who challenges D’Angelo for the championship at the Great American Bash.

The match went a little under 10 minutes and saw Rook hit some big offense for nearfalls, but Naraku was able to kick out. The end of the match saw Kam Hendrix come to the ring and leap up onto the apron, causing a distraction that allowed Naraku hit an STO for the pinfall victory.

You can see clips from the match below. Naraku will challenge D’Angelo for the NXT Championship at the Great American Bash, which takes place in three weeks in the usual Tuesday night timeslot for the weekly show.
