During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, AEW star Chris Jericho discussed his confrontation with Tommaso Ciampa at last night’s AEW Dynamite: Summer Blockbuster. During their promo segment, Jericho referred to Ciampa as “Tommy,” and then Ciampa said that not even his own mother calls him Tommy.
This then led to Jericho saying, “Tommy’s Mommy,” which the crowd began chanting. Jericho said on the line (via Fightful), “Well, you know, you always try different things to have some fun, and sometimes you do a little bit more laughing stuff, and sometimes you do a little bit more serious stuff, but it all ends up being good. So, the live crowd enjoyed the Tommy’s Mommy.” He continued, “So, we had a good time. It was a great show, and a great crowd in Cincinnati for sure.”
Chris Jericho last wrestled on the May 27 edition of AEW Dynamite, where he defeated Ricochet in a rematch from their bout at AEW Dynasty 2026.
