The Bella Twins Turn On Paige After Fatal Influence Wins Six-Woman Tag Team Match at WWE SummerSlam: Night One

Paige’s association with The Bella Twins is officially over, as Nikki and Brie turned on the English pro wrestler following their defeat to Fatal Influence in a six-woman tag team match at WWE SummerSlam: Minnesota Night One.

Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid continued their dominance over The Bellas and Paige, as Jayne pinned Paige to secure the pinfall victory. The heels gained an early advantage in the match when Jayne and Lainey attacked Brie behind the referee’s back, with Lainey stomping her head into the steel steps and Jayne delivering a cannonball.

Following long periods of beatdown, Brie was eventually able to tag in Nikki, who built momentum for her team by hitting an X-Factor and Rack Attack 2.0. However, Jayne broke up the pinfall attempt. In the closing stages of the match, Jayne tried to take out Nikki Bella with the Rolling Encore. However, Nikki ducked, and Paige tagged herself in. Paige kicked Jayne and went for a pinning combination, but Jayne kicked out. Henley distracted Paige, allowing Jayne to hit the Rolling Encore and secure the victory for her team.

After the match, Paige and Brie hugged as the trio posed in the ring. However, it was all a ruse, as Nikki attacked Paige, with Brie joining her twin in the beatdown. Nikki attacked Paige’s neck before taking her out with Rack Attack 2.0. She posed with her foot on Paige’s body before exiting the ring alongside Brie.

Paige returned to WWE at WrestleMania 42, replacing an injured Nikki Bella in a Fatal Four-Way Women’s Tag Team Championship match. Brie and Paige ended up winning the belts. They were dethroned by Fatal Influence at Saturday Night’s Main Event: NYC last month.
