Joseph Sawyer was hurt during a match at last night’s GCW The Score, and he gave an update after the show. The GCW World Champion competed in two matches at last night’s event in Cincinnati, Ohio, first defending the title against Jazzy Yang and then against Jazzy John. The decond match was stopped after Sawyer toook a cannonball to his knee in the corner, and was unable to finish the bout.
Sawyer posted to Twitter to give an update to fans, writing:
“To clear the air.
Yes I did get hurt. No I didn’t finish the match. I tried to get the feeling back in my knee to see if I could and sadly I couldn’t. Luckily it seems like it isn’t anything that will put me out for an extended about of time.
So yes I think I’ll be okay for now.”
He added in a follow-up on Sunday morning:
“Actually walking better already this morning thank you to everyone that reached out”
Sawyer, the former Joe Gacy, made his TNA debut beside Samuel Shaw on last week’s TNA Impact, revealing themselves as the Hardys’ attackers.
