RUSH has confirmed that his expired visa is behind his absence from AEW. The Mexican wrestler addressed speculation about his status after telling fans on social media they wouldn’t see him again until 2027.
RUSH joined AEW in 2022 and is a former two-time ROH World Champion. He posted “See you 2027” on X on October 19, prompting questions about his future with AEW. He addressed the speculation the next day, confirming both details.
“Everyone loves gossip!” RUSH wrote. “But they actually got two things right. I’m happy at my home, #AEW, and my visa has expired.”
RUSH has not competed in an AEW ring since July. He last competed on the July 1 episode of AEW Collision, where he defeated Jordan Cruz. The wrestler has competed in 18 matches across AEW and Ring of Honor in 2026.
