AXS TV’s Inside MMA To End On September 30

MMA Junkie reports that AXS TV’s Inside MMA will air its finale episode on September 30. It will be the 433rd epsode of the series, which debuted almost ten years ago when AXS TV was still HDNet. Mauro Ranallo, Bas Rutten and Ron Kruck, along with former/original host Kenny Rice, will look back on the show and their favorite moments.

The show regularly aired on Friday nights for years and featured interviews with fighters, coaches and executives. It was one of the first programs to give the sport mainstream coverage.

AXS TV Founder and CEO Mark Cuban said: “‘Inside MMA’ blazed the trail for mainstream media’s acceptance of MMA. Bas, Kenny and Ron were there from the start, introducing the sport and its stars to a national television audience when other networks and newspapers were too afraid and out of touch to recognize its appeal.”

The end of the show will help AXS TV continue its “increased commitment to live MMA events.” This includes Legacy Fighting Alliance, the merger of the Legacy FC and RFA promotions, which has 30 planned events for 2017. AXS TV will air 45 events from LFA and other promotions like CES MMA and Lion Fight.
