In an interview with MMA Junkie, Bruna Ellen (2-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) spoke about her upcoming Bellator debut. She will fight Jessica Middleton (0-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at Bellator 159. The event happens at the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas, with the main card airing on Spike. Here are highlights:

On her traveling schedule: “I am used to pressure when it comes to traveling internationally to fight – I’ve experienced the pressure of fighting around the world. Of course, Bellator is a big event. But I’ve never reacted negatively to this sort of pressure. If anything, it motivates me even more. I want to show my work.”

On training with Team Nogueira: “From the day (Team Nogueira) opened, I decided I wanted to train MMA there, to learn more about martial arts. I’ve always wanted to live from fighting. Women’s MMA wasn’t too big (when I started) but I had faith that women could be as successful as men.”

On her gameplan: “My strategy is to put on a lot of pressure and impose my game at all times. For anyone who doesn’t quite know me yet, please watch my fights and follow me on social media. You’ll get to know me better every day. I enjoy making fun posts about my daily training. I promise that I’ll be an improved Bruna with each fight, giving even more reasons for people to tune in.”
