Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo was reportedly hurt during a WWE NXT live event on Friday that led to his match being stopped. A photo initially posted to Reddit and shared by WrestlePurists to Twitter appeared to show the match at the NXT live event in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada at a stop. The main event bout was an eight-man tag team match in which Tony D’Angelo, Tavion Heights, Shiloh Hill, and Shawn Spears were taking on BirthRight.
Exactly what happened isn’t 100% clear yet. According to the Reddit post, Lorenzo took a backdrop from the ring to the floor. A Twitter user who was in attendance said Lorenzo “hit his face on the post after an out of the ring spot and landed really hard back bump on the floor.” The match was stopped and Lorenzo was stretchered out. A clip from the end of the show saw that they ended with Uriah Connors being put through a table to send the crowd home happy.
No word on Lorenzo’s condition as of yet. On behalf of 411, our best wishes to him.
