Claudia Gadelha Says She’s Way Better Than Nina Ansaroff

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Claudia Gadelha spoke about her UFC 231 fight with Nina Ansaroff, and she said that she is “way better” than her opponent. Here are highlights:

On Joanna Jedrzejczyk getting a title shot: “I think she deserves to get the title shot. The division is new, the 125 division is very new, and we need good talent in that division. She deserves to be there.”

On taking a fight with Nina Ansaroff: “There is levels to this game, you know. And I feel like Nina is a great fighter, but I’m a top-five. It’s different. There’s levels to this game. When I wanted to fight, she was the only one stepping in, so I took the fight. I wanted to fight someone higher ranked, but there was nobody for this card. There was nobody on that time. So I just took that fight.”

On how they compare: “I have way more experience than her. I feel like I’m better than her. I’m well rounded. I know everything that can happen in there. We trained together in the past, and I feel like I’m way better than her.”
