Coaches Named For New Season Of The Ultimate Fighter

ESPN reports that UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega will be the coaches of the 29th season of The Ultimate Fighter. The series will air on ESPN+ for the first time ever in the US and begins filming later this month. This will be the first season since 2018 and will feature fighters at middleweight and bantamweight.

Volkanovski and Ortega were originally supposed to fight at UFC 260 on March 27, but the former tested positive for COVID-19 and had to back out. He is still in Las Vegas after originally flying there for the fight card. Their fight will happen some time after the season is over.
