Daniel Kelly Thinks He Would’ve Retired With a Loss at UFC 193

November 15, 2015 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

Speaking to reporters in a media scrum after UFC 193 (via MMAjunkie), UFC fighter Daniel Kelly discussed his win over Steve Montgomery on the fight card. Below are some highlights.

Kelly on how he would’ve retired if he lost: “I would have been out of the UFC, and to be honest, I’m not going back to local shows. I’m 38 years old; I won’t ever get a bump back up. I’ll have nothing else to prove. This is a proving ground here. And there’s financial benefits, as well.”

Kelly on how many fights he thinks he has left: “I’ve had four fights now; my aim’s 10. Ten fights in the UFC, that would put me over 40. That would be enough. We’ll see how the body does. I’ve extended (my career) two (fights), so that puts me to six, I reckon.”
