Douglas Lima Will Be Ready For Andrey Koreshkov This Time

Douglas Lima spoke with MMAjunkie about his win at last night’s Bellator 158 and more. Some highlights are below:

On his loss to Andrey Koreshkov last July: “I wasn’t ready for that fight. I knew that, but I couldn’t say that in the interviews. I didn’t want him to know. I still came to finish him, but man, I just couldn’t do anything.

On his comeback: “There were moments where I thought I’d never fight again. Just being able to come back like this, being able to do everything – to wrestle, to work the ground, win a tough fight like that – because I don’t pick opponents. I come to fight whoever they put in front of me. The toughest guy out there, that’s who I want to fight.”

On his expected rematch with Koreshkov: “This time, I’m going to fight him healthy. That’s the big difference. Last time, I just went there for the paycheck. You can’t do that in this fight game. It’s too dangerous. He was training. He was healthy. He was good to go. I wasn’t.”
