MMA Fighting reports that Jessica Aguilar has now been removed from UFC’s upcoming Fight Night 126 card in Austin, Texas. Aguilar was previously scheduled to face Livinha Souza. However, Souza withdrew from the fight due to a hand injury, and the UFC was unable to find Aguilar a replacement opponent in time.

As a result of the fight removal, the UFC now hopes to reschedule the Aguilar vs. Souza fight for a later date. It could happen at the upcoming UFC 222 event in Las Vegas, Nevada or the February card in Orlando, Florida. The new fight date has not yet been set.

Aguilar is quoted by MMA Fighting on the fight change: “Everything happens for a reason. You always see the good in things, even when it’s not a good situation. It will help you stay focused and overcome whatever it is you going through. I appreciate all the support from my fans, and excited to show that I’m still one of the top fighters in my division.”

UFC Fight Night 126 is set for February 18 in Austin, Texas at the Frank Erwin Center. The main card will be broadcast live on FS1.
