Joe Rogan Explains Why Donald Cerrone vs. Conor McGregor Isn’t Happening

Joe Rogan has an explanation for why the anticipated Donald Cerrone vs. Conor McGregor fight isn’t happening. Cerrone and McGregor have both expressed their interest in the fight; Cerrone predicted a second-round knockout win while McGregor said he’s game beat Alexander Hernandez at UFC on ESPN+ 1. However, Dana White said recently that the fight is “nowhere close” to happening.

Speaking on his show, Rogan said that the problem was the potential placement on the card. “The sticking point was that it was going to be a co-main event,” Rogan said. “I think the idea is that they have to have world titles as a main event of a pay-per-view.”

White said last week that “We’re actually looking at other fights right now for Cowboy,” noting Cerrone’s next fight could be against Al Iaquinta.
