Justin Gaethje & Manager Slam Conor McGregor, Say He Turned Down Fight

Justin Gaethje is wading into the latest public spat between Conor McGregor and Dana White, and he’s backing up his UFC boss. As previously reported, White took serious issue at the post-UFC 253 press conference over the weekend with how McGregor shared photos of their private text messages publicly on his Twitter account regarding McGregor asking for a main event fight with Diego Sanchez ealier this year.

White took issue with sharing the private texts, saying it was “some man-code stuff … It’s one of the dirtiest things you can do” and adding, “When you’re the number two or three-ranked guy in the world, and you’re telling me that you want to fight, but you want to fight un-ranked, 39-year-old Diego Sanchez in a main event in Los Angeles? You know.”

McGregor has since claimed that the “Code was broke when you lied about me turning down fights” and claimed he wanted Gaethje in May, arguing that “Diego was a filler to get more fights in.” Gaethje, however, has backed up White by saying that McGregor “had me in January I was calling on you left and right and not a peep. My manager asked if I wanted you after Tony but you know, f**k you. You never wanted it, you took the easy road kid.”

Gaethe’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has also commented, and you can see the posts below:
