Rampage Says He Will Fight Tito Ortiz If He Wants the Fight

June 25, 2016 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson spoke to reporters at the post fight press conference for Bellator 157 (via MMAjunkie) following his split decision win over Satoshi Ishii at Bellator 157. Rampage discussed what’s next for his career and a potential match-up with Tito Ortiz. Below are some highlights.

Rampage on wanting to stay at heavyweight or moving down: “I like 205, and I like fighting at heavyweight – it was a good little test to see. But looking at guys like (Matt) Mitrione and (Carl Seumanutafa) – man, those guys are big, and I know they hit hard. So I’m thinking if I want to stay at heavyweight or if I want to go down.”

Rampage on not training for a year: “Not only did I not fight for a year, but I didn’t train for a year. All I did was play video games. I was so depressed, I was just sitting at home playing video games and drinking beer. You can’t be a professional athlete doing stuff like that. I’m going to change my life and get back in the gym.”

Rampage on a possible fight with Tito Oritz: “Tito, we were supposed to fight (at Bellator 106), and I really didn’t want to fight him then, but it’s my job to fight. If Tito wants to fight, I think we’ll put on a good show. It’ll suck to knock my friend out, but I’ve got to get a knockout. … If Tito wants to do it, we can do it.”
