UFC 256 Loses Two Fights Due to Positive COVID-19 Tests, Third Changed
UFC 256’s card has taken a hit, with two more fights taken off the card due to fighters testing positive for COVID-19. Dwight Grant posted to Instagram to announce that his fight with Li Jingliang has been canceled after he tested positive for the fires. Meanwhile, Dalcha Lungiambula has announced via Twitter that his fight with Karl Roberson has been delayed a week to next weekend’s show after Roberson was “diagnosed with COVID-19.” Roberson has confirmed the news.
A third fight on the card has been altered as well, as ESPN reports that Angela Hill is out of her fight with Tecia Torres after testing positive for COVID-19. Sam Hughes will face Torres instead.
To my family, friends, and team champion. Thank you so much for the love and support.Â
My opponent @karlbabyk has been diagnosed with COVID-19, therefore @UFC has decided to move our fight to the 19th DECEMBER 2020. Wishing @K_babyk_roberson a speedy recovery. pic.twitter.com/PI7fM3SJAY
