Ezra Bridger is joining Sabine Wren in making the leap to live action, with Eman Esfandi set to play the role in Ahsoka. THR reports that Esfandi (Red 11, King Richard) will play the street urchin-turned-Jedi apprentice in the upcoming live-action series. He joins a cast that includes Rosario Dawson as the titular character, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ivanna Sakhno, and Ray Stevenson in unnamed roles.

Ezra made his debut on Star Wars Rebels as a Force sensitive orphan who joins up with the crew of Rebels that includes Sabin, Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Zeb, and Chopper. When we last saw Ezra, he was pulled through hyperspace to an unknown destination along with Grand Admiral Thrawn and Sabine had joined forces with Ahsoka in order to locate Ezra.

Ahsoka is being written by Rebels co-creature Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau and Kathleen Kennedy. Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) directs at least one episode of the show, which is nearing the end of filming on its first season, which will bow on Disney+ next year.
