American Dad! Reportedly Set For Fox Return

Fox is bringing American Dad! back into the fold. Deadline reports that the series is set to make its return to Fox starting with the upcoming 20th season. It would mark the series’ return to broadcast network television after airing on TBS since 2014.

The report notes that the move has been in the works for months and that the pickup by Fox is now being finalized. Reps for Fox and 20th TV Animation declined to comment on the matter.

The move back to Fox is due to the $1.5 billion deal that Fox Entertainment and Hulu made in November to keep Fox’s shows on the platform during their seasons. It will bring American Dad! back to the home where 20th TV Animation’s The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob’s Burgers air.

This means that the show’s run on TBS will end with the season 19 finale on March 24th. TBS and Adult Swim will continue to carry past episodes through 2030.
