Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels Switch 2023 Release Dates

Disney is shifting its Marvel release slate for 2023. Walt Disney Studios announced on Friday (April 29) that the studio was swapping release dates for The Marvels and Ant-Man and The Waps: Quantumania.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Qauntumania will now be released on February 17, 2023. Meanwhile, The Marvels will make its theatrical bow on July 28, 2023.

It’s the latest move for both films. Previously, The Marvels was scheduled for a November 11, 2022 release, and Ant-Man 3 was due out on February 17, 2023. Those moves happened likely as a result of the global pandemic. In short, Quantumania moved back to its original February 2023 release date.

Variety reports that the latest shift is due to the latest Ant-Man installment being closer to completion, while production on The Marvels is still ongoing. Quantumania has already wrapped principal photography.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is also due out next year on May 5, 2023. Also, the MCU returns to the big screen on May 6, with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Thor: Love and Thunder is due out on July 8.
