Anthony Bourdain Left Most Of Fortune To Daughter

The New York Post reports that Anthony Bourdain, who passed away last month as a result of a suicide, left most of the fortune to his 11-year-old daughter Ariane. His estate is worth up to $1.21 million. Documents filed at Manhattan Surrogate’s Court reveal that it includes $425,000 in savings and cash, $35,000 in brokerage money, $250,000 in personal property and $500,000 in “intangible property including royalties and residuals.” Ottavia Busia-Bourdain, his estranged wife, is the executor of the estate.
Bourdain’s will gave Busia-Bourdain all of his “personal and household effects” like cars and frequent filer miles to “dispose of in accordance with what (she) believes to have been my wishes.” A guardian will be picked by the court to “safeguard” Ariane’s inheritance because she’s a minor. If she had died before Bourdain did, her nanny Myra Quizon would have received the money. Bourdain also has a mortgage worth $1.1 million on an unnamed property.
