Bill Skarsgard Seeks Bloody Revenge In The Crow Trailer

Bill Skarsgard is taking on the mantle of The Crow, and the trailer for the re-adaptation is now online. Lionsgate released the first trailer to the supernatural action thriller on Wednesday, which you can see below.

The preview runs the familiar story beats of the original graphic novel and the 1994 film that adapted it, though clearly goes its own direction. We get a look at Eric Draven (Skarsgard) and Shelley (FKA twigs)’s relationship and their brutal murders, and Draven’s return from the dead and mission of revenge with plenty of hard-R violence.

The film is directed by Rupert Sanders and stars Skarsgård, FKA twigs, and Danny Huston. Releasing on June 7th, it is described as follows:

Soulmates Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.
