According to The Hollywood Reporter, Burt Reynolds passed away before he was able to shoot any footage for Quentin Tarantino’s film Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. Reynolds died yesterday at the Jupiter MEdical Center in Florida at the age of 82.
Tarantino’s film is currently in production in Los Angeles. It stars Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie, among others. Reynolds was set to begin filming his role in the next few weeks. He would have played George Spahn, who owned the ranch where the Manson Family lived.
Here’s a synopsis: A story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a Western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate.
His niece Nancy Lee Hess said: “My uncle was looking forward to working with Quentin Tarantino, and the amazing cast that was assembled.“
