Clive Owen Set to Play Bill Clinton In Impeachment: American Crime Story

Deadline reports that Clive Owen is set to play Bill Clinton in Impeachment: American Crime Story. The show is based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book, A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down A President. This will be the third season of the series; the first season focused on the O.J. Simpson murder case (also based on a book by Toobin) while season two focused on the Versace murder.

The cast already includes Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky, and Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones. Lewinsky is one of the producers.

No decision has been made yet on who will play Hillary Clinton.

The new season will premiere on Sunday, September 27th, 2020, just a few weeks before the Presidential election.
