Colin Trevorrow Says Cast Had Input on Jurassic World: Dominion Script
When Jurassic World: Dominion arrives in the summer of next year, it will feature dialogue devised in part by the cast. Colin Trevorrow spoke with THR for a new interview discussing the Netflix animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and talked about the third film in the Jurassic World era of the franchise, which is set to arrive in June of 2022.
During the interview, Trevorrow noted that he’s in post-production on Dominion and talked about how the writing team — himself, Derek Connolly, and Emily Carmichael — took input from the cast to make sure they had creative input on their characters.
“We would write dialogue together and find ways to make sure that all of these actors, who are so deeply associated with this specific set of characters that they’ve played, not just felt their characters were respected but dug into who they are now,” he said.
The film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, Laura Dern, Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Campbell Scott, all reprising their roles from previous entries, along with new additions Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise, Dichen Lachman, and Scott Haze. It is set to bow on June 10th, 2022.
