Universal is moving on a new movie in the Jurassic World franchise, with David Koepp on board to write the film. Deadline reports that Koepp, who wrote the first two Jurassic Park films, is on board to script what is being described as a “complete reboot” that is being fast-tracked by Universal.

The film is referred to in the report as a “completely fresh” take on the franchise, with none of the previous cast members set to return including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill. No director is yet on board.

The previous Jurassic World film, Jurassic World: Dominion, released in 2022 and grossed just over $1 billion. The franchise has to date grossed $6.1 billion worldwide.
