Fear Street Part Two: 1978 Trailer Heads to a Killer Summer Camp
The Fear Street trilogy kicked off last Friday on Netflix with the 1994-set first film, and the second film’s trailer heads back to summer camp (uh-oh) in 1978. Netflix has released the trailer to the second entry in the releasing-weekly trilogy, Fear Street Part II: 1978, which will explore an earlier era of Shadyside as the 1970s sparkle — and of course, a killer stalks Camp Nightwing.
The new film explores a camp where the same wealth divide seen in the first film between the rich of Sunnyvale and the downtrodden in Shadyside are in play. Following on the events of 1994, Cindy Berman (Gillian Jacobs) tells Sam (Olivia Welch) and Josh (Benjamin Flores Jr.) about what happened at the camp that left everyone dead. The official synopsis for the movie, which arrives Friday on Netflix (and is followed by Fear Street Part Three: 1666 next Friday), is as follows:
In 1978, Camp Nightwing is divided by the campers and counselors who hail from the prosperous town of Sunnyvale and the campers and maintenance staffers from the downtrodden town of Shadyside, but when horrors from their towns shared history come alive, they must band together to solve a terrifying mystery before it is too late.
