Michael Myers and Laurie Strode’s final battle will be available at home, with Halloween Ends hitting Peacock day-and-date with its theater release. Jamie Lee Curtis announced on Tuesday that the final film in David Gordon Green’s requel trilogy will arrive on October 14th in theaters and streaming on Peacock.

The strategy follows the release method of last year’s Halloween Kills, which also hit Peacock and theaters at the same time. The slasher film started strong with a $49.4 million opening weekend, though it quickly slipped down the charts and ended up with $92 million domestically and $131.6 million worldwide. The film was deemed a successful launch on Peaock, though streaming numbers were not revealed. With a $20 million budget, it was still a financial hit and adding the film’s name value to Peacock helped boost the service’s profile, something the studio is likely keen to continue with Ends.

The new film, which concludes Green’s trilogy, stars Curtis, Andi Matichak, James Jude Courtney, Will Patton, Rohan Campbell, and Kyle Richards. It is described as follows:

Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.
