Harrison Ford is set to reprise his iconic role as Indiana Jones, and has revealed that the new film will begin shooting very soon. Ford spoke with CBS News for a new interview and, while discussing his returning to his famous roles like Han Solo and Indy, dropped the big news.

Asked what the challenge was in coming back to these roles, Ford joked that it was “Trying not to look silly running around in tight pants and high boots” before he noted that “I’m going to start doing Indiana Jones in about two months.”

The news comes after Lucafilm’s Kathleen Kennedy confirmed earlier this month that the fifth film would not be a restart and that Ford “will be involved.” She said at the time that “We’re working away, getting the script where we want it to be and then we’ll be ready to go.”

Ford went on to say, “I’m always delighted to come back to these characters. You know, [the reason] we have the opportunity to make another is because people have enjoyed them. I feel obliged to make sure our efforts are as ambitious as they were when we started.”

Indiana Jones 5 is currently set to release on July 9th, 2021.
