James Gunn Confirms That Peacemaker Season Two Is Still Happening

James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new plans for the DC Universe had people wondering about Peacemaker’s future, and Gunn has provided an update on the series. Gunn and Safran announced the first chapter of the new DC Universe across TV and film back in February, titled “Gods and Monsters.” The plans include a Superman: Legacy which Gunn is writing. Because of Gunn’s focus on the film, it was revealed that the second season of Peacemaker was on hold and instead the team will appear alongside Viola Davis in Waller/

A fan asked Gunn on Twitter on Friday if Peacemaker would still be getting a second season, and Gunn replied to say that it will be happening after Superman: Legacy.

The series stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Chukwudi Iwuji, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick and aired on HBO Max in early 2022. It was renewed for a second season back in February of that year just before its season one finale.
