James Gunn has confirmed that the script for The Batman II is complete. As reported late last month, Matt Reeves shared an Instagram post of the script cover for the planned sequel. Gunn was on the red carpet for Monday’s Superman premiere and confirmed (per Deadline) that Reeves has in fact finished the screenplay.
“It’s great,” Gunn of the script.
The finished script comes three years after The Batman premiered in March 2022, with the sequel announced that April. Plot details are not yet known for the film, which is expected to see Reeves back to direct and Robert Pattinson reprising his role as the Dark Knight.
