Jay Basu To Rewrite Script For Battlestar Galactica

The Wrap reports that Jay Basu (The Girl in the Spider’s Web) has been hired by Universal Pictures to rewrite the script for the upcoming film version of Battlestar Galactica. An earlier draft was previously written by Westworld‘s Lisa Joy. Francis Lawrence will direct, with producers Dylan Clark (Dylan Clark Productions), Michael De Luca (Michael De Luca Productions). Scott Stuber, Jay Polidoro, Lexa Barta, Brian Williams and Elishia Holmes will executive produce.

The film is based on the 1970s TV series, which was previously remade as a 2004 series on Syfy. The show was created by Glen Larson.
