The next season of Curb Your Enthusiasm is likely to arrive this fall, according to co-star Jeff Garlin. Garlin appeared on The Ringer’s 10 Questions With Kyle Brandt podcast and talked about the upcoming 11th season of the show, which he said should be arriving toward the end of year with 10 episodes. Garlin said that the Larry David-created series will largely not deal with COVID-19 except for the first episode of the season.

“I want to say that except for the first episode, we don’t do any COVID stuff. The first episode it touches on, there’s a couple of things. But it’s a post-COVID world in Curb,” Garlin said (per Uproxx). He continued, “South Park had the first COVID issue they did — so well written, so well done. I didn’t laugh once. People don’t want to watch COVID stories. We’ve got our own COVID stories. Get them away from me.”

Garlin added that of course David’s creative decisions determined the direction of the show, noting, “Everything is based on what Larry wants to write, and then he writes it. I would’ve, yes, probably disagreed with him if he had a lot of COVID stuff. And we have so much respect… I’m not gonna say listened, but he would’ve taken that seriously.”

HBO renewed Curb for its 11th season in July of last year.
