John Wick Director Gives Update on Highlander Remake

Chad Stahelski is still developing his Highlander remake and gave an update about it in a new interview. The John Wick director spoke with spoke with Discussing Film for a new interview and talked about the progress he’s made on the film, which has long been in development hell.

“We’re in heavy development mode on Highlander,” Stahelski said. “Tweaking the scripts, writing, conceptualizing sequences, how we’re going to do everything. We probably have a lot more in-person kind of things, but it hasn’t slowed down our development process at all.”

The film has been in the works for quite some time and had everyone from Justin Lin to Juan Carlos Fresnadillo attached to direct over the years, with script passes made by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, Melissa Rosenberg, and Ryan Condal.
