Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm) was invited, then uninvited, from former President Barack Obama’s 60th birthday party which took place over the weekend, reports the New York Times. Obama was forced to scale back the guest list due to concerns over the covid-19 delta variant.

David being uninvited led many to wonder if the situation could work itself into a future episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm which centers around David getting into awkward situations.

The original guest list included 475 people, but ended up being edited down to “only family and close friends,” according to a spokesperson.

Some of the celebrities who did make the cut and were at the party included Jay-Z & Beyonce, George Clooney, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Hudson, and Bradley Cooper. John Legend was also there and sang “Happy Birthday.”

Joining David on the cut list were David Letterman and former Obama White House advisor David Axelrod.

The party took place at Obama’s mansion on Martha’s Vineyard.

Season 11 of Curb Your Enthusiasm has already been filmed and is set to be released on HBO later this year.
