What can we say about 2020 that hasn’t already been said? Everyone has had their lives turned around and adjusted while we make sense of what’s going on. Things we’ve taken for granted for years are getting a new look and just about every industry has changed.

Take conventions. Specifically the San Diego Comic-Con.

You don’t have to look very hard to see that every comic book convention has cancelled their live events. Even the biggest expo on the planet. Yes, for the first time in San Diego Comic-Con’s 50-year history, they are cancelling the event. Instead they will be holding a virtual event.

They’ve renamed it Comic-Con at Home, and the virtual event will take place over the same weekend, July 22-26, as they usually do. Where it was once focused on all things comic books, the convention has become the focal point of all things pop culture, being taken over by Hollywood to launch its newest franchise or reveal a trailer for a big blockbuster. Since 2010, and each year subsequently, it filled the San Diego Convention Center to capacity with more than 130,000 attendees. With it moving to a total virtual event, this changes things and raises a number of questions.

Below, The Hollywood Reporter has compiled all the TV series (so far) that are set to participate in the virtual event, which will combine aspects of the convention experience with the comforts of home. Additional details, including where to stream and specific scheduling details, will be released at a later date.

All panels will stream for free on San Diego Comic-Con’s YouTube channel. (Times listed in Pacific.)

How will Hollywood use the comic-con? That remains to be seen.
