Lovecraft Country Star Jonathan Majors In Talks For Creed III

Jonathan Majors is heading from Lovecraft Country to the boxing ring, entering negotiations to co-star in Creed III. Deadline reports that Majors, who played the lead role in HBO’s horror series, is in discussions to play the next adversary for Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed.

Majors would join a cast that includes the returning Jordan, Tessa Thompson, and Phylicia Rashad. Sylvester Stallone has confirmed he won’t be back as Rocky Balboa this time around. The film is set to be directed by Jordan in his feature directorial debut from a script by Keenan Coogler and Zack Baylin based on a story outline from original co-writer/director Ryan Coogler.

Majors is also set to play Kang the Conqueror in Marvel’s Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania. Creed III is set to release on November 23rd, 2022.
