Mildred Burke Biopic Queen Of the Ring Gets Waiver From SAG-AFTRA Strike
The Mildred Burke biopic Queen Of the Ring has joined those films earning a waiver to continue filming during the SAG-AFTRA strike. Deadline reports that the film, which chronicles the life of the former NWA World Women’s Champion, has gained a waiver as an independent production without direct ties to the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. As such, the movie can continue production during the strike.
As previously reported, The Killer’s Game which stars Dave Bautista and Ice Cube and features Drew McIntyre also received a waiver. Productions with a waiver have agreed to abide by the terms of the latest offer submitted by SAG-AFTRA during contract negotiations, and will ultimately follow the final agreement negotiated between the guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
