Netflix Daredevil Showrunners React To News Of Character Getting Disney+ Series
With a new Daredevil series in development, the Netflix series’ showrunners have taken to social media to show their support. As previously reported, Disney+ is developing a new series starring Charlie Cox reprising his role as the superhero. Showrunners Steven DeKnight and Eric Olsen, who ran the first and third seasons of the show respective, posted to their Twitter accounts reacting to the news.
DeKnight noted that he’s excited for the new show, writing:
“As a lifelong fan of the character, I hope it’s even BETTER than what we did on Netflix. Lord knows they’ll have a much, much larger budget”
Olsen added:
“Thrilled to learn that #Daredevil lives on! Best cast and best fan base EVER!”:

There are still no details yet on what to expect of the new series, though the previous report referred to it as a “continuation” of the Netflix show.
