Netflix VP of original content Cindy Holland gave updates on Daredevil and Luke Cage during the Television Critics Association press tour this week. Deadline reports that Holland praised Daredevil’s upcoming third run and didn’t have any firm answers for a third run of Luke Cage, which released its second season about a month ago.

When asked about the still-unscheduled Daredevil season three, Holland said, “The biggest issue was the timing of production and launching of The Defenders because what that meant is we had to shut down all of the shows, so all the actors be available for The Defenders so it’s more function of that…There is no problem with this season, I think it’s fantastic, it’s real return to form in my view.”

Holland noted that as regards to Luke Cage, “We haven’t made any firm decisions yet” about a third season. The site reports, however, that a writer’s room is already working on a third run for the show.

In regard to possibly spinning off more characters from the Netflix shows, Holland said, “There’s always an ongoing discussion about spinning off additional characters into additional properties. I don’t have anything to share.”
