New Stills Of Peter Dinklage In Toxic Avenger Remake Released

The Toxic Avenger remake is finally coming to theaters this year, and new stills of Peter Dinklage in the starring role are online. Entertainment Weekly released two new images of Dinklage as the new iteration of Toxie in the upcoming Macon Blair-directed remake, and you can check them out below via DiscussingFilm.

Blair spoke about the new design of the character with EW, saying, “The goal was to try to stay true to the vibe of Lloyd [Kaufman’s] original Jennifer Aspinall/Mitch Cohen creature, with some influence from the Toxic Crusaders cartoon’s look, while also trying to do something new and weird and lovable with Toxie’s design. I love what Millennium FX did with it — part human, part mutant, all heart.”

The film is being released by Cineverse after being on the shelf for a couple of years due to issues getting a distributor. The film will arrive on August 29th and stars Dinklage, Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay, Julia Davis and Taylour Paige; it is described as follows:
