It looks as if the Jackass franchise is finding new life on TV following the success of Jackass Forever, with a new Paramount+ revival series in the works. Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish revealed during the company’s recent earnings call (per CS.net that a new series in the stunt and prank franchise is in the works, with the original creators involved.

Bakish said, “Based off the success of Jackass Forever, we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+.”

The news comes after Jackass Forever was a big hit for Paramount Pictures, bringing in $74.8 million worldwide against a budget of just $10 million. The film was the fourth in the main franchise, with Jackass 4.5 set to hit Netflix later this month with unused footage from the 2022 film.

Jackass ran as a TV series for three season from 2000 through 2001 on MTV and was a massive cultural hit, registering as a major part of 2000s pop culture. Jackass Forever reunited franchise veterans Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Wee Man, Danger Ehren, and Preston Lacy alongside new cast members Jasper Dolphin, Rachel Wolfson, Sean “Poopies” McInerney, Zach Holmes, and Eric Manaka.
