As previously reported, Marvel Entertainment recently announced that comedian and actor Patton Oswalt would executive produce and co-write a new Marvel animated series, M.O.D.O.K., for Hulu. Oswalt appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers this week, and he revealed that he’ll also be voicing the character of M.O.D.O.K. You can check out a video of his appearance on the talk show below.

Speaking on the series, Patton Oswalt stated: “Me and writer Jordan Blum, from Family Guy and American Dad!, are doing Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. I’m going to be voicing him. It’s going to be an animated cartoon. What I love about M.O.D.O.K. is, he is a supervillain that he has super intelligence, the forehead beam [and] all this technology, but he is not on the A-level of like Doctor Doom and the Red Skull. So, he is — not only does he hate all the heroes, but he hates all the villains because he’s so resentful. So, getting to play that is going to be really, really fun!”

M.O.D.O.K. will be part of an initiative for Marvel and Hulu that will see three other TV series that will eventually lead into an animated event called Marvel’s The Offenders. The other shows include Howard the Duck, Hit-Monkey, and Tigra & Dazzler Show. The animated shows do not yet have release dates.
