The internet finally got what it wanted with the announcement that HBO Max will premiere the ‘Snyder cut’ of Justice League in 2021. Now it seems it could open the door for more director’s cuts, if the public is interested. Director Paul Feig noted on Twitter that he has a three-and-a-half hour cut of his 2016 reboot Ghostbusters: Answer the Call.

The film received lots of hate on the internet prior to its release. This was in part for being a remake of a beloved classic, with others upset by the all-female cast. This led to it being a box office disappointment, as it was believed it needed to make $300 million to break even and it only earned $229.1 million. In spite of the vitriol from online fans, critics thought it was decent enough, as it has a 74% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
