Paul Rudd & Jack Black-Led Anaconda Reimagining Gets Christmas 2025 Release Date

Paul Rudd and Jack Black’s comedic reimagining of Anaconda will hit theaters next holiday season. Sony Pictures Entertainment released a new video with Black and Rudd that announced the film will release on December 25th, 2025 as youc an see below.

The new take on the 1997 snake action-horror film was first reported back in August. Tom Gormican (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent) is co-writing the movie with Kevin Etten, which was reported at the time as centering on a group of friends in mid-life crises who decided to remake Anaconda, their favorite movie as kids, and head to the rainforest where they find themselves trying to survive against natural disasters, giant snakes and violent criminals.

Gormican will also direct the film.
