Penny Marshall’s Cause of Death Listed as Heart Failure

Penny Marshall’s death was the result of heart failure, helped along by heart disease and diabetes. TMZ reports that the legendary comedienne and director’s death certificate listed heart failure as the primary cause of death. Contributing factors included cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Marshall, who starred in Laverne & Shirley and directed the likes of Big, League of Their Own, and Awakenings, passed away on December 17th in her home in Hollywood.
